great base

great base for exploring nearby parks and attractions

my stay was fantastic, as I got to enjoy the breathtaking views of the fjord right from my room, and I found the hotel to be an excellent base for hiking adventures like Romsdalseggen which was just a short 500-meter walk away.

Breathtaking views of the fjord, lovely historical ambiance, unique coffee machines in rooms

The room size felt cramped with awkward furniture layout!!! Outdated bathroom fixtures gave a tired impression!!! Noise disturbances from events at night really disrupted the experience!!!

lovely view

Couple with cozy vibes

I had a wonderful view of the fjord from my window, could lie in bed and watch the boats come and go! The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options.

It wasn’t cheap,,, but still acceptable.

The stay featured stunning views of the fjord and a comfortable room equipped with an electric kettle and cozy furniture. Breakfast was impressive, with a great selection including fresh fruits and plant-based milks. However, the room felt slightly cramped, and some noise from the guttering disrupted sleep on a windy night. The location, while central, required a bit of a hike from the train station.

grand hotel, by classic norway hotels has a great location, just a short stroll from everything you need. the young male receptionist was super helpful when our car broke down, arranging a ride for us in the rain with kids. the spacious room had a stunning view of the lake, and the sauna was a nice touch for relaxation.

nice touch

It was just a suitable option for a short layover in Andalsnes with great value for money. Enjoyed the fantastic views of the fjord from the fifth floor, which was a highlight of my stay. Make sure to grab coffee from the machine on each floor—it’s a nice touch!
